Immune-Boosting Tonic

  • 1 orange, sliced into thin circles
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin circles
  • 1 lime, sliced into thin circles
  • 2 inch piece of fresh ginger root, grated
  • 2 inch piece of fresh turmeric root, grated
  • 1 onion, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 head of garlic cloves, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, sliced, seeds (removed if desired)
  • 1 Tbs. minced horseradish root
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary


  1. Layer each ingredient one on top of the other into a half-gallon glass jar.
  2. Fill the jar almost to the top with organic raw apple cider vinegar. Leave 1/2 inch space.
  3. Cover with a thin cloth napkin and then screw on the lid (the cloth is to prevent the vinegar from eroding the aluminum lid).
  4. Allow to sit in room temperature for 6 weeks or more.
  5. Strain and pour into a clean glass jar. Keeps well in the fridge for many months.
  6. Enjoy 1-2 oz (or more) with or without meals all throughout the year, whenever you need a pick-me-up or an immune boost! For sensitive tummies, enjoy with food.

Fire Cider is a raw fermented health tonic that is full of immune-supportive properties. With ginger, turmeric, garlic, and lemon, you can imagine how potent this tonic is.  It’s great for clearing sinuses, supporting immunity (especially when you feel a throat tickle coming on), and getting a sluggish digestive system moving again!

Fire Cider is best consumed alone, or before meals as a digestive tonic. If you have a sensitive stomach, please dilute it 50/50 with water before consuming, or try to drink it with a meal to dilute the potency.
